Day 37 Benton Harbor to Holland Mi 60 miles

Woke up this morning and noticed over cast skies.  I managed to get out at 640 but it started to drip right out of the gate.  I rode by myself until Jane, Barb and Rod Brodman came along side me and I latched on to their line. We clipped along at 18-19 mph. It continued to rain most of the ride and we arrived in camp at Hope College campus at 11:10. Jane had a flat just 3 miles from the end when she hit a pot hole.
We are staying in the dorms at Hope College.  Thanks to Hope for their generosity in providing rooms and a meal to Sea to Sea volunteers and cyclists.
After taking a nice warm shower, Barb and I headed downtown Holland for a bite to eat as we ate very little coming into town.
Again today we just focused on getting into camp, did not see much of the country we biked through as we were so cold and wet that all we wanted to do is get in, take hot shower and put on some warm dry clothes.  It is too bad as we biked through South Haven, Saugatuck, and Holland. These are all towns on Lake Michigan and have lots of coffee places and neat stores. We also biked along the Lake Michigan shoreline, but the rain deterred us from taking pictures.
Tonight we will have a meeting to review all the activities for the week end Celebration events Saturday and Sunday.
There is lots of activity around me as I am sitting in the lobby where are the cyclists are registering for rooms and getting details about tonight's events.
No pictures for today as it was raining and we did not stop except at our SAG stops.
